Sometimes–amidst the craziness, the busyness, the suffering and the success–life is very simple.
As simple as sitting down.
As simple as looking into the eyes of the person in front of you.
As simple as being present in the moment. Fully present. Alive and available.
Sometimes–amidst the expectation, the perception, the deadlines and the awards–life is very simple.
As simple as appreciating what is in front of you.
As simple as appreciating who is in front of you.
As simple as seeing the needs of another and meeting them. As best as you can. However you can.
Sometimes–amidst the pain, the frustration, the confusion, the closed doors–life is very simple.
As simple as sharing a smile.
As simple as staying silent.
As simple as holding someone in their pain. Knowing their anguish. Offering comfort.
Sometimes–amidst the fear, the abandonment, the isolation, the neglect–life is very simple.
As simple as giving your time.
As simple as not taking yourself too seriously.
As simple as a dance party in a dusty cabana.
Sometimes–amidst all that is life–life is very simple.
As simple as trusting what cannot be seen.
As simple as resting in the promises of a King.
As simple as cherishing the simplicity of love. And loving simply.
Sometimes–amidst all that is love–love is very simple.
