In the early morning hours of January 2nd, my husband Jeremiah and I were in prayer and the Holy Spirit began to show us a vision of a mighty work He is desiring to do for those who will draw near to His heart and grab ahold of the RENEWED HOPE set before them in this hour. I know we are in a season where many are thinking on “New Year resolutions” and “looking ahead” to what this calendar year may hold. However, as we leaned in, we strongly felt the flow of His grace routing in a somewhat different direction. I believe it is a word worth sharing with you and I pray that all those with ears to hear will receive this key with understanding and reverent fear of the Lord!
Notice above I spoke to *RENEWED* hope. Renewal, by definition, is “to make like new, to restore to existence, to restore to freshness or vigor”. Synonyms include “to regenerate” and “to revive”. I strongly believe the Lord is desiring to RESTORE hope in fresh ways in your life, for things you once hoped for but (if you take honest inventory) you would admit your belief in the possibility of the miraculous has faded. What miracle were you believing for? What form of supernatural healing were you once petitioning Him for? What hope did you once carry in radical faith that you realize now has been buried? Perhaps your avoidance of continuing to believe for the miraculous is self-protective, or even seemingly justified in the natural based on how things have looked in your journey and/or present condition. But where hope has wavered or settled or been delayed or felt pressed, I truly believe the Lord is presently breathing renewed hope into the hearts of His children. And I especially believe it pertains to physical healing right now. Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Where deferred hope has caused infection, Jehova Rapha is coming to heal!
As we prayed, the Lord showed us the scene from Acts 3:1-24. (Get out your Bible and read along with me here!) He showed us that many people are presently like the lame man who was regularly carried to the temple gate and sat there to beg for money. Hear me so clearly–that man had others in his life carrying him to the gates, and you have people around you who love you, care for you, do life with you, and have carried you in the spirit in prayer and intercession. They have hoped alongside you for the miracle you need. But as time has passed, the measure of their faith has been limited by what exists in the natural and the circumstances surrounding your life. They are faithful, diligent, and consistent (just as these “carriers” were for the lame man), but similar to these carriers in the scripture, they too have perceived that the extent of what’s possible (whether you need physical healing, restoration, breakthrough, a change in jobs, healing in your marriage or over your identity…whatever it may be) is what they can perceive being possible. So even their prayers have perhaps become rote, or void of SUPERNATURAL hope, as well. Their prayers are genuine, but they may only be escorting you back to the familiar position you’ve held at the temple gate–rather than bringing you INTO the Holy place and behind the curtain! Those prayers are just as crippled as your condition is. There’s a faulty “cap” on the faith that must be removed in Jesus’ name!
The Lord is faithful and mighty to save! He is always sending His laborers, His Holy Spirit, and His Heavenly hosts to encounter those in need with new levels of hope and new levels of faith! I believe He is sending His Spirit (maybe in your prayers or your dreams or even at spontaneous moments in your day) to “walk by” just as Peter and John did…I believe He is also sending His laborers (maybe other people in your life with His Words on their lips—or maybe even this email is serving as that encounter) to “walk by” and to REMIND YOU…or maybe even REVEAL TO YOU for the first time…His miraculous, wonder-working, chain-breaking, lame-man-walking, healing, resurrection power is STILL POSSIBLE in Jesus’ name!
Hear the perfect, triune God saying, “Look at us!” (Acts 3:4) Don’t look at your crippled condition or your circumstances or whatever you perceive in the natural as the components determining truth. Instead “Look at us!”—to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit—to find renewed, miraculous, wonder-working HOPE in what YHWH is able to do! Peter made it clear that what the lame man was asking for was TOO SMALL. What you are praying for under deflated hope is TOO SMALL. Fix your eyes up and perceive that the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob is still the God at work today—full of power, miracles, wonder and glory. Peter and John were quick to clarify and reveal to the man that there was a BIGGER portion for him available in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
So hear this directive from the Lord, “Get up and walk!”(Acts 3:6) Let your hope for the miraculous find its legs again. Let your hope for what seems impossible find its legs again. Let your lips testify to the glory of the Lord just as the lame man did when he rose up! You can go from crippled to “springing up!” in Jesus name. You can go from being carried to “walking and leaping and praising God!” in Jesus name! And if anyone tells you differently they are lying. They are not speaking from the Spirit of Truth, but perhaps from a well-meaning, but doubtful human spirit. However, the Lord is calling you to fix your eyes on things ABOVE. In agreement with Colossians 3, you have been raised with Christ, so set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Let the Word of the Lord speak a louder word in your life!
Let the Word of the Lord prevail against deflated hope, deferred hope, or circumstances in the natural that are seemingly testifying in a different direction.
Let faith rise! He is the One who was and is and is to come and He is desiring to EXCAVATE the buried circumstances He is still prepared to move miraculously thorough. Even if it has been years and years and years–that is nothing to the Lord of hosts!
So praise God in advance! Praise God for your healing in advance, praise God for your clarity in advance, praise God in advance for the restoration He is going to carry out as you stand up and find your legs again in a fresh wind and fresh fire and fresh wave of hope. I could go on and on concerning what the Lord continued to show us, but I will leave this here as a word of encouragement and exhortation over you. FEAR THE LORD in reverence and awe. Repent of ANY and ALL sin He draws to your mind, even lack of faith and unbelief. Don’t thwart His power at work in your life by assuming you understand more than His Word speaks to. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ask or imagine in Jesus’ name.
Pray He would reveal to you what He is wanting to renew and restore in your life. We are believing alongside the Body of Christ right now for renewed hope and resurrected belief in the miraculous!
