One Year. One Mission. One Message….

The Year– 2011

The Mission–An intimacy fast.  To abstain from any physical intimacy for an entire year. To share not even as much as a kiss with another person from January through December.  Instead, during the times in which I would be tempted or tested, it is my goal to turn to Christ. To dig into the Word and to nurture the intimate relationship I have built with our King. To utilize my platform to inspire other’s growth and allow insight into the ways God has worked in my life.  To grow in my faith and to give up complete control. To document my growth and to learn from others…from you.

The Message–Truth. Grace. Love. I am a vessel for Christ. I am a tool in our Master’s workshop.  Throughout this year, I will be sharing my story with you all from my own perspective– not for personal recognition, but rather, to glorify our King.  My life has been plagued by adversity. From battling an eating disorder, to enduring my father’s suicide, to surviving a horrific car accident.  However, Romans 5:3-5 calls us to “rejoice in our adversity. For adversity produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. And hope in the Holy Spirit never fails us.” The message is simple–it is time to give up complete control to Christ, to courageously follow His calling, and to trust that He will guide our paths in accordance with His will.

Follow me in my journey! Join me in my crusade for Christ. Be exceptional. Challenge yourself to grow in your faith as well.  I am only so public with my message because I am going to need as much accountability and encouragement as I can get! Help me stay Kissless ’till Next Christmas…
